Hi, I’m Mahesh Rimal

Systems Engineering & Safety Assurance Leader | Mentor for the Next Generation of Engineers

I’ve spent over 30 years in the rail and infrastructure industry, helping organisations deliver safe, reliable systems. Along the way, I’ve also made it my mission to mentor and support young engineers — because engineering is about people as much as technology.

Over the years, I’ve realised that true progress comes not just from innovation, but from the people who dare to question, learn, and lead. That’s why I continue to invest my time in guiding the next generation — helping them turn ideas into impact, and challenges into opportunities for growth.

Trust-driven engineering for every phase of your journey

I had the privilege of working closely with Mahesh on the Western Sydney Airport Metro project, which encompassed the design and construction of six new Metro stations, extensive civil works, and both north and south tunnel sections. Mahesh was a key contributor to the project’s success, distinguishing himself through his technical expertise and exemplary professional conduct.
Mahesh’s in-depth knowledge and hands-on management of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) were instrumental throughout the design and construction phases. He consistently demonstrated a proactive and solution-oriented approach, ensuring that RAMS requirements were not only met but exceeded. His ability to seamlessly integrate RAMS principles into complex project stages greatly enhanced the performance, safety, and reliability of our work.
What truly sets Mahesh apart is his dedication to teamwork and stakeholder collaboration. He is highly respected among colleagues for his professionalism, integrity, and willingness to support others. Mahesh facilitated open communication across multidisciplinary teams and ensured that all stakeholders were kept informed and engaged. His approachable nature and readiness to share his expertise made him an invaluable resource for everyone involved.
Mahesh’s commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, combined with his strong leadership and technical acumen, made a significant positive impact on the project. He consistently went above and beyond to address challenges, offer guidance, and drive continuous improvement.
In summary, Mahesh is an outstanding professional whose proactive attitude, deep subject matter expertise, and genuine respect for his team contributed greatly to the success of the Western Sydney Airport Metro project. I highly recommend Mahesh for any future roles that demand excellence in RAMS, project delivery, and collaborative teamwork.
Well done, Mahesh!
